Dear Friends,

 

Serving the people of Berks County as Commissioner is a special honor and something that I do not take for granted. You first gave me this privilege in 2007 and now have elected me to a third term.

 

Since I was first elected Commissioner, we've seen many positive changes in our community and county government.  The current board is regarded as highly professional and we have demonstrated the ability to work together to the benefit of our residents. 

 

Berks County is...

 

   - Fiscally Strong 

 

   - Growing private sector jobs

 

   - A leading voice for counties in State and National Government

 

The Leinbachs' settled in the Oley Valley in 1723 and have called the County of Berks home ever since.  My wife, Jennifer and I, live in a log home that we built with friends and family near the base of the Blue Mountains in Tilden Township. Our oldest son Matt is a Tech. Sgt. with the NJ Air Guard and our Daughter, Son-in-Law, Granddaughter and Grandson, Laura, Mark Gracie Lee and Logan Pruitt, live and work in the Lehigh Valley. Our youngest son William and his wife Hannah live here in Berks. William is in the PA Air Guard and works full time for Schlouch, Inc. Hannah works for Metropolitan Management.

 

We enjoy so much about this county, including Hawk Mountain and the Appalachian Trail, the farming communities, and everything in-between.  It is the rich heritage and diverse population of the City of Reading, the twenty-eight Boroughs, and forty-four Townships that make Berks County one of the best places to live, work, and raise a family. 

 

I know that together we can continue working to make Berks County even better. Thank you again for your confidence and support.
